Nitin Desai, the art director of Jodhaa Akbar, will do the set design for Action Replay.
The jodi of Akshay Kumar and Aishwarya Rai was first seen in Khakee. Action Replay would be their second film together.
There were reports that Vipul Shah's Action Replay is the remake of The Curious Case of Benjamin Button and Warner Bros had issued an advertisement in a newspaper stating that no one has the right to remake their film. But Vipul clarified that the film is based on a 1994 Gujarati play called Action Replay. Aishwarya Rai will also be seen in Rajinikanth's Robot (Endhiran).
Akshay Kumar will also be seen in Blue with Sanjay Dutt, Lara Dutta and Katrina Kaif.
Akshay Kumar's last film 8x10 Tasveer failed to hit the jackpot at the box-office.
Aishwarya Rai is currently making waves in the ongoing 62nd Cannes film festival.
