Akshay-Sonakshi starrer JOKER release date announced

Glamsham Editorial
UTV Motion Pictures today announced the release date for JOKER as August 30, 2012.
A madcap comedy directed by Shirish Kunder and featuring Akshay Kumar and Sonakshi Sinha, this film promises an out-of-this-world experience. Quite literally so! Akshay Kumar returns to his hometown, a place that's so remote and crazy that it's not even on the map. And then what follows puts this forgotten little town not just on the country's map, but makes it the focus of the entire globe.
Aliens! Is the town really the site of an alien invasion? Will Akshay manage to change the game-just like the joker does in a pack of cards? Get set for India's coolest (and first ever) comedy JOKER starring Akshay Kumar and Sonakshi Sinha in 3D.

Akshay Kumar apologises to fans

Akshay Kumar apologises to fans

Akshay Kumar has begun his day on an apologetic note. He tweeted some minutes ago on the micro blogging website Twitter: I'm going to start with an apology, I'm sorry for this negative message guys, its just that on days like today I cant stand the ignorance of some people. On my way to work this

morning this guy really frustrated me. I had to get out of my car in the middle of Bombay traffic right by Mr Bachchan's house, & literally pick up off the road an empty packet of cigarettes that this man decided to carelessly throw out his window without a second thought."

The actor further says: "Not only do we have to put up with the fact he smokes but we also have to deal with the fact that he doesn't care a damn about his city or his motherland that God has so graciously provided for him. If we all treated the streets of India with as much love as we do our homes & temples, we would have 5 star ratings on cleanliness rather than being known as one of the dirtiest cities in the world."

Akshay really drove the point home: "I'm no angel, I drive a car, I fly in planes, sometimes I accidently leave the light on, but I consciously try everyday not to dirty or abuse our city. Question is do you? What's the worst thing you've ever done to our environment, something u walked away from that u wished deep down u hadn't done? I know for sure the guy that littered in front of me today wont forget his actions. I must say I'm sorry for scaring him but don't abuse India's streets & maybe they wont abuse you! Dont forget, let me know ur bad habits :) sometimes writing about them helps u confront & consciously strive to better them. I cant help it i love my country, i just cant cant stand those who dont..."

So remember to not litter for two reasons: love of your country and fear of Akshay Kumar!

Desi Boyz - Exclusive Teaser

John Abraham, Akshay Kumar turn pole dancers

John Abraham, Akshay Kumar turn pole dancers
Akshay Kumar and John Abraham are set for a tryst with pole dancing. The duo will be seen in a pole dancing sequence in Rohit Dhawan’s upcoming film, Desi Boyz. And being complete professionals, Akshay and John went all out to get hands-on training for the sequence.

So much so that professionalism they showed delighted director Rohit Dhawan. “It’s not a long sequence. In fact, they pole dance only for 30 seconds in a song. But Akshay and John are so professional that they trained for it before shooting,” confirms Rohit. “Before the sequence, they visited a few clubs in London — where we were shooting — and jumped on stages to practice with real poles. I think they did the right thing because it’s (pole dancing) not an easy job.”

At the same time, Rohit wants to clarify that his film isn’t about pole dancing, as the general buzz suggests. “Many people feel that the film is about pole dancing or that they are playing pole dancers in the film. But let me clarify that it is not the case. But at the same time, though the pole-dancing bit is a short one, it has big ramifications and really affects their lives. So, it’s an important part of the story,” says Rohit.

Although both John and Akshay went all out for the sequence, Rohit feels it was relatively easier for Akshay. “He is well-versed with Parkour. And since that too involves lot of twist and turns, I think he picked up the tricks easily. But I can say that both the actors have literally put in their best foot forward,” says the director.

And besides Akshay and John, Deepika Padukone and Chitrangda Singh also star in the film that releases on November 25. The film has been mostly shot in London with very few sequences being canned in studios in Mumbai.
