Akshay will now be seen singing the song '
Nana-chi Taang' (which means 'Teri Aisi Ki Taisi' in Hindi) along with his co-star, newcomer Trisha in the film. The song set to the tunes of the ace music composer Pritam, who, the insiders say, has done a marvelous job of combining rock with a tinge of our very own Maharashtrian tadka. I was blushing through making of Action Replay Akshay Kumar

I was blushing through making of Action Replay Akshay

Mumbai, May 26 (IANS) Bollywood star Akshay Kumar says that "Action Replay" is his first romantic comedy with Aishwarya Rai and he was blushing through the making of the retro cool movie.

"It is my fifth film with director Vipul Shah and definitely another one to remember. Ash and I had a brief romantic interlude in Rajkumar Santoshi's 'Khakee', but 'Action Replayy' is our first romantic comedy together. Believe me, I was blushing through the making," Akshay said in a statement.

"There's a lot I wish to tell my audience about. But Vipul wants me to keep things under wraps for the moment."

Akshay says he was thrilled to be a part of "Action Replayy" that is set in the 1970s when his father-in-law Rajesh Khanna was hailed as the first superstar.

"It's a very special film for me for many reasons. This is my tribute to the 1970s that was the greatest retro era. I was kicked with the idea because I'm entering the time in cinema where my father-in-law was a superstar," said Akshay.

"Action Replayy" is all about rewinding your life and the film is said to be high on style quotient and emotionally rewarding too.

"It is a fun-genre romantic film," said Aishwarya.

The film revolves around Kishen and Mala - two bickering senior citizens who rediscover romance on their 33rd wedding anniversary, when their son gets them into rew mode.

Shah, who had a blast making "Action Replayy", said: "Akki (Akshay) and I have an impeccable box office record. We enjoyed success with 'Aankhen', 'Waqt - Race Against Time', 'Namastey London' and 'Singh is Kinng'.

" 'Action Replayy' is a film where the two of us return after a gap of almost three years. And believe me, it is a great way to return."

The film caters to the sensibilities of the young generation.

"For me, it was an exciting experience because I could bring together Aishwarya and Akshay, a pair I had been wanting to cast for sometime now. They're both good looking, super-talented and what's more, they're fashion icons as well. Akki has made an amazing screen pair with some of the existing girls but believe me, he and Ash are extra special," said Shah.

Akki Ash go retro with Action Replayy

The year 2010 heralds somewhat of a comeback for the beautiful Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, with quite a few films in the bag including the Akshay Kumar starrer
Action Replayy. The film, which is being directed by Vipul Shah, will see Ash teaming up director Vipul Shah for the first time together. The film, which involves a certain theory of time travel, has the actors sporting a retro 70's look.

Bollywood Hungama gives you a sneak peek at Ash and Akshay in a total retro look mounted on the once famous Lambretta Vespa scooter with hearts. Heightening the 80's look is the entire flower power print dress Ash dons, while Akki does his bit wearing a blush pink floral print shirt topped off with checked bell bottoms, quite the rage then.

With the look and feel coming through so boldly, we certainly think the film will manage to take the audience down memory lane to the days of the flower power.

Akshay hired private jet for T20 World Cup finals

New Delhi, May 20 (IANS) Akshay Kumar recently took a break from his hectic shooting schedule and flew to Barbados in a private jet to enjoy the T20 World Cup finale between England and Australia.

His friends coaxed him to take a break to catch the match and celebrate the success of his last release "Housefull".

"Akshay flew his friends in a private charter for a four-day-long all guys vacation where they stayed at a friend's bungalow on Bridgetown beach," a source close to the actor said.

The star made sure he and his pals got the best seats in the stadium.

"Seated in the most expensive seats in the stadium, they cheered their hearts out during the England v/s Australia final at Barbados and were seen having a riot of a time," the source added.

England lifted the World Twenty20 beating Australia by seven wickets in the final Sunday at the Kensington Oval.

Soon after the match, Akshay flew to London in a private jet to shoot for Nikhil Advani's "Patiala House" since all flights to and fro to London were cancelled due to volcanic ash.

"Yes, Akshay did take a private jet since he wanted to reach London on time for the shoot schedule. He has always been a thorough professional," Akshay's spokesperson said in a statement.

Apart from "Patiala House", the actor is also working in Farah Khan's "Tees Maar Khan" and Anees Bazmee's "Thank You".
